The East Side Food Drive was created in response to COVID-19 and in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank. When we became aware of the drastic increase in food bank visits as a result of the pandemic, we knew we had to do something to help!

We started with a somewhat impromptu event that we organized back in December 2020 (The Holiday Season Edition) and then after such an incredible response, we facilitated our second food drive in April 2021 (The Easter Edition). Again, receiving such a great response from all of our generous east end neighbours, we quickly decided to make this a regular thing!

While the pandemic is a still a very real and dangerous threat, we are optimistic that it will soon be behind us! Unfortunately, even once the pandemic is a thing of the past, food insecurity will still remain a problem in our city. It is our mission to help and do what we can to eliminate this problem. Translation: We’re here to stay!

Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to contribute to the Daily Bread Food Bank. We’re not a registered charity. We’re just a couple of guys trying to help out however we can!

We will literally pick up your food donations right at your doorstep and deliver them directly to Daily Bread on your behalf! How easy is that?
